About this concert
The Superior Vintage Calypso Brigade returns for its fifth annual Emancipation Concert with an evening of a landmark celebration of Caribbean musical heritage, streamed live for audiences worldwide.
Emancipation Day, August 1, marks the abolition of slavery across the British Caribbean in 1838. This concert, being held on July 26 in Trinidad and Tobago, honours that legacy through the art form that has always spoken truth to power — Calypso.
